If you recall from previous articles on this site (see below), author and historian Ruth Ben-Ghiat was scheduled to be the speaker at the prestigious Bancroft Lecture at the US Naval Academy.

The Heritage Foundation alerted people to the left-wing, anti-Trump political bias this speaker has that has no place at a military academy. Many USNA grads and even a Congressman contacted the Academy to voice their concerns and her the lecture was cancelled.

As further proof, she was on failing MSNBC after the election implying President Trump is a dictator who will crackdown on democracy and encouraged civil servants (aka Deep State) to resist his agenda internally.

Her comments about the election, Trump, and what to expect were absolutely the most insane and extreme of ANY of the MSNBC/CNN/other fools to date! She spoke a couple of times during the segment and even the rest of the panel (which included the virulently anti-Trump George Conway) was so shocked by her extremism that they were silent and perhaps even afraid to comment on her remarks.

That woman can NEVER be allowed to speak at USNA, and I do mean NEVER! She is the poster child for Marxist whack-jobs in academia.”
